Daily Mail. It seems powerful storms off the coast of New South Wales created a huge ocean disturbance. The storm apparently found itself parked over an area of ocean with the right mix of "salts, chemicals, dead plants, decomposed fish and excretions (ew) from seaweed". It whipped itself into a frothy mix that washed ashore and stretched over 30 miles out into the Pacific.
